Three months ago, Funko Inc. announced that it had acquired majority ownership of NFT startup Token Wave and was entering the non-fundable token (NFT) industry. At the time, Funko CEO Brian Mariotti explained that the Funko Pop digital NFT had the potential to be a “game changer.” On Friday, Funko announced the launch of a new NFT collection featuring Jay and Silent Bob from filmmaker Kevin Smith’s film “Clerks.”

The duo also appeared in their own films Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jay&Silent Bob. Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie,” and “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.”
Funkoannounced the Jay and Silent Bob NFT collection on Twitter and Facebook on Friday, noting that it will drop on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.” Jay and Silent Bob x Funko Series 1 Digital Pop! coming soon to Droppp,” Funko tweeted.
The website digital.funko.com offers a bit more information about the upcoming Jay and Silent Bob NFT compilation. According to the site, Funko is releasing Jay & Silent Bob digital merchandise, and will also be creating physical versions of the Jay & Silent Bob Funko Pop Characters.
