Aloha Browser Paves the Way Towards Web3 With Recent HNS Integration

press release

PRESS RELEASE. Aloha Browser is paving the way for a decentralized network thanks to the recent Handshake (HNS) integration. Websites with HNS names are now automatically resolved in Aloha Browser without additional configuration.

Aloha has always focused on the privacy and security of its users and is now at the forefront by releasing a revolutionary browser for Web3. There are now more than 28 million monthly active users of Aloha’s Android and iOS mobile apps. The Aloha desktop browser also became available with this release.

Aloha Browser has some first-of-its-kind Web3 features, making it a must-have for Web3 enthusiasts. Although Web3 is multifaceted, from DeFi to NFT, having a Web3-enabled browser in the middle is just as important as the browser was to the Web2 user experience.

Handshake aims to become the backbone of the Web by decentralizing the DNS root zone and replacing the need for centralized certificate authorities (CAs) with DNS-based named entity authentication (DANE). Of all the decentralized naming services, only Handshake is targeting this ambitious endeavor.

There are over 4 million HNS names, more than all the other decentralized naming services combined (ENS, Unstoppable Domains, etc.). While using HNS names as a website is the most important use case, users can also use HNS names for secure login, universal username and wallet address.

Having a similar ethical principle to Bitcoin, Handshake has no company or foundation. The integration of HNS into Aloha Browser came about through a partnership with Hey tx , a .tx blockchain domain keeper made possible by Handshake. Nole Oppermann, founder of Hey tx, said: “Because Handshake is at the center of the decentralized web, the integration of Aloha is a big step toward universal adoption; Aloha Browser has now become the largest native HNS-enabled browser to date.”
