NFT Marketplace Looksrare Launches Version 2, Cutting Protocol Fees by 75% and Introducing Bulk Purchases

Looksrare, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, has announced version 2 (aka v2) with a 75% reduction in protocol fees.Dune Analytics statistics show that Looksrare was the 10th largest NFT marketplace in terms of number of traders in the past week.

Looksrare claims that users can “save ~50% on gas compared to other marketplaces like Blur and ~30% on gas compared to Looksrare version 1.” Looksrare v2 also uses ethereum (ETH) instead of wrap ethereum (WETH); Looksrare v2 allows users to make bulk purchases by “adding 70+ NFTs to your cart.”

In addition, Looksrareannounced that version 1 (v1) would be deprecatedand presented its timeline.” As of April 12 at 7 p.m. UTC, you will no longer be able to POST v1 orders via the public API.” Looksrare stated that Looksrare v1 will be fully sunset by April 13 and all operations will transition to v2. Looksrare also shared the new public API endpoints for v2 in the same blog post.
