Started rendering videos for services provided by GAIMIN’s distributed distributed data processing network, gaimin.cloud.
GAIMIN’s video rendering service is a low-cost service that uses PCs running other applications and services to provide faster turnaround times while distributing data processing energy consumption globally, solve one of the world’s biggest digital problems today.
“The world is running out of data processing power.”
Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO
It is estimated that by 2020, 1.145 trillion Mb of data will be created every day and every human will create about 1.7 Mb of data per second. in 2022, 91% of Instagram users will engage with branded videos, users will In 2022, 91% of Instagram users will be engaged with branded videos, users will send 650 million tweets per day, 333 billion emails per day, 42 million WhatsApp messages per day, Google will process 6 billion searches per day, and there will be 4.95 billion active social media users (62% of the global population). A low quality 480p video delivered on YouTube uses 8.3 Mb of data per minute or 500 Mb per hour. Higher quality 1080p videos use more data; SnapChat uses 1Mb of data at a time. The world is running out of data processing power.
As video consumption is expected to increase, more video producers will need to create higher quality, longer video content and convert (render) it to output video. Video creation is a data processing-intensive activity, and in this already competitive market for the availability of data processing services, the demand for data processing will increase further.
Centralized and distributed data processing services
Centralized data processing farms are well known but are not the most appropriate solution. They are expensive to install and maintain, consume large amounts of electricity from the local distribution grid to run the data processing equipment and to run infrastructure such as air conditioning and hardware cooling, and impact local supply. Centralized data processing farms are expensive to install and maintain and have limited physical growth, all of which is reflected in the cost of providing service.
A cheaper, more efficient, and greener approach is to decentralize data processing, spreading service delivery around the world and using equipment that is already running and doing “something else,” spreading energy consumption and use around the world and in different time zones, with little or no additional increase in energy consumption.
The next question is How can we get efficient data processing when “data processors” are already in use, a key component of GAIMIN’s ecosystem, the cloud with GAIMIN’s own cryptocurrency, GMRX
So, video producers and back to their data processing requirements.
Why video producers need data processing power.
When video producers create a video, they typically use video production applications such as Blender or Adobe Premiere Pro to add additional content to the video. Additional content can include animation, sound, special effects, text, graphics, etc. All of this is added during the video editing process, and once the video is complete, the video producer must “flatten” the file to create the video. Flattening (rendering) a file is the process of creating individual frames of video that contain the video elements associated with the frames in a single image. Rendering requires significant processing power to create each frame that makes up the video.
Rendering is a data-intensive task. The longer the video and the more complex the elements, the longer it takes to render. However, since it typically takes several days to render a complex video on a single GPU, video producers send their videos to specialized render farms that process the video and return rendered output. Rendering farms charge according to the processing power they use to render the video, which is costly because their costs consist of fixed costs to provide the rendering farm’s hardware and software environment and energy consumption costs to provide the facility.
Reasons why video producers use gaimin.cloud for rendering.
GAIMIN has solved the problem of a cheaper, faster, and higher performance rendering service: GAIMIN uses a decentralized distributed data processing network to take video and send it to devices in gaimin.cloud for rendering. GAIMIN can provide inexpensive and fast rendering services to video producers because there are no fixed costs associated with providing data processing devices.
GAIMIN rewards gamers who join their devices to gaimin.cloud by paying them up to 90% of the revenue GAIMIN generates for providing data processing services in GMRX. In other words, gamers can earn passive returns by allowing their GPUs to be used by gaimin.cloud.
