Ticketmaster, a global provider of event tickets, has launched “Token Gate Sales to access concert tickets using NFT (Non-Fungible Token) technology. The first to take advantage of this service was metal band Avenged Sevenfold (A7X), whose NFT collection “Deathbats Club” provided early access to the group’s live shows in Los Angeles and New York. After ticket sales, Ticketmaster announced that it has built and launched a token gate service for A7X’s upcoming shows in Japan.
