Global crypto exchange Binance is currently seeking IT specialists and customer service representatives to operate in Romania. The leading coin trading platform is also working with Romanian universities and authorities on a number of educational initiatives.
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is hiring personnel for its Romanian office
Binance, the largest crypto exchange by trading volume, intends to hire more professionals this year for its technology hub in Iăși, Romania’s third largest city. This hub will be established in 2022 and the company is currently recruiting for its staff.
Jobs for IT specialists, including back-end, quality assurance, front-end, and mobile, are already available, the portal Romanian Insider reports, with expertise in Java, typescript, iOS and Android, automation, and frameworks required. Ilie Pușcaș, Binance Country Manager in Romania, said.
Binance is always hiring and developing around the world and Romania is an important point on our map, recognized for its high skills in IT and technology.
“Last year, after consistent discussions with the Romanian government, we opened the country’s first technology hub in Iași, and this year we are entering a natural growth phase in which we hope to attract more talent to this new center,” the executive added.
Binance is also looking for customer support staff for its Bucharest office; vacant positions in both the Iași technology hub and the Bucharest branch are listed on its global website at
Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO of Binance, announced the opening of the Romanian branch during a visit to Bucharest in September. During his stay in the country, he met with senior officials and highlighted Binance’s plans to expand its operations directly in Eastern Europe.
In addition to recruitment efforts, Binance has a number of educational initiatives in Romania. These are realized in cooperation with other platforms, universities, and government agencies to organize financial and crypto courses, webinars, and trainings for Romanians. The company has already organized meetups in Bucharest, Iași and Cluj-Napoca.
The global exchange is engaged in similar projects in the region and several other countries in the former Soviet space. in early February, binance agreed to support the development of Georgia’s crypto sector through events focused on education and crypto. in December, the launched a blockchain education program in Kazakhstan and offered to assist Azerbaijan with crypto regulation.
