Google Cloud, the software giant’s remote services division, has partnered with blockchain company Tezos to provide block validation (“Baker ) to become the “Baker” of the company’s network. As part of the partnership, Google Cloud will also provide Tezos’ validation services through its platform, enabling easier deployment for customers worldwide.
Google Cloud partners with Tezos
Google Cloud announced a partnershipwith Tezos, a decentralized web3 company, to make it easier for Google customers to build and maintain services on top of the Tezos blockchain. The company will become a validator (also known as a “baker”) in the Tezos network and will be able to participate and contribute to the operation of the system.
The partnership encompasses the integration of the Tezos blockchain into the Google Cloud platform, which will simplify the task of companies and developers building and maintaining applications on top of Tezos. This allows Tezos to sit alongside other blockchain projects such as Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Litecoin, Hedera Hashgraph, and Polygon as a separate network that Google Cloud customers can access and integrated.
Several startups incubated by Tezos will receivecredits and mentorship from Google, so that Tezos developers will also ostensibly benefit from this partnership.
significance of blockchain
”
For Google Cloud, offering such a Web3-focused service is key to satisfying its growing number of customers who want to implement services in an easy way and accelerate the development and deployment process. In this regard, James Tromans, Director of Engineering for Web3 at Google Cloud, declared.
developers know the value of good technology and we see an opportunity to provide a differentiated offering that builds on a foundation that similarly supports the many products and services blockchain developers seek to build.
In addition, Tromans explained that one of the most important outcomes of the partnership includes the opportunity for Google Cloud customers to be able to run nodes in an easy way. We believe this will allow builders to focus their efforts on building their products, leaving the node management and maintenance tasks to the service.” He states, “Running nodes at scale is time consuming and costly, and ultimately takes the focus away from building the core product.
As the California Department of Motor Vehicles revealed in January, Tezos is currently involved in a project to digitize all vehicle titles registered in California onto the blockchain.
