Approximately 65,000 of Oman’s residents are crypto holders, the majority of whom are high school or college graduates, a new study by Souq Analyst has revealed. According to the findings, the overwhelming majority (90%) of Oman’s crypto holders are between the ages of 18 and 44.

found that approximately 65,000 people, or 1.9% of Oman’s adult population, own cryptocurrency. However, while the ratio of crypto holders to the population may seem low, the findings suggest that awareness of crypto in Oman is significantly high. The report explains.
97.9% of Omani adults have heard of cryptocurrencies, indicating that awareness is growing.
We also found that the overwhelming majority (90%) of Omani residents who own cryptocurrency are between the ages of 18 and 44.
Oman’s highly educated crypto holders
In addition, in a survey with over 200 participants, Souq Analyst found that approximately 66% of Omani crypto owners hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. Additionally, we found that approximately 25% of respondents had graduated from high school.
Regarding the composition of crypto assets held, the survey found that over 55% of Omani crypto owners are bitcoin owners. The survey results also suggest that just under 50% of respondents ownETH; ETHand about 25% own Tether, a stablecoin.
In terms of the value of their crypto holdings, more than 12% of respondents indicated that the value of their respective portfolios exceeds $25,900 or 10,000 Omani Rials. However, a larger percentage of respondents (over 35%) own crypto assets with a USD value of less than $259.
