New Year Brings Strong NFT Sales, Up 26% in First Week of 2023 With Top 5 Blockchains Seeing Double-Digit Increases

The first week of 2023 saw an increase in non-financial token (NFT) sales as the seven-day trading volume increased 26.01% over the previous week with NFT sales totaling approximately $208.99 million. Additionally, the top five NFT-issuing blockchains saw increases over the past week.

The Bored Ape NFT collection topped the list with $19 million in sales, up 52.82% from the previous week

According to NFT sales statistics, the first week of the new year was up 26.01% compared to the last week of 2022. Cryptoslam.io’s indexshows that there were 1.2 million NFT transactions out of 400,748 NFT buyers; there were $208.99 million in NFT sales across 19 different blockchain networks; Ethereum received $164.35 million was earned.

Ethereum-based NFT sales were up 26.22% this week, followed by Solana (+28.8%), Immutable X (+20.83%), Cardano (+35.97%),NFT sales were led by BNB (+71. 35%). BNBhas the largest gain of 71% over the past seven days, followed by Theta, which is up 69.82% this week.

The top NFT collection in terms of sales for the past week was Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) with $19,052,102, up 52.82% from the previous week; following BAYC were Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), the Azuki, Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC), and The Captainz followed. In 7-day NFT sales by collection, Cryptopunks and Mineablepunks occupied the 6th and 7th positions.

The top five most expensive NFTs sold this week were all from Mineablepunks’ NFT collection. The top five were Mineablepunks #11,467, #11,755, #11,467, #11,755, and #11,467. last week’s sales for the Mineablepunks NFT collection totaled $5,498,938, a compared to the previous week’s Mineablepunks sales, which were down 49.50%.

According to nftpricefloor.com’sindex, BAYC NFTs had the highest floor value yet at 81.49 ether on January 8, 2022.Cryptopunks had a floor value of about 66.88 ether at 1:30 PM ET Sunday. floor value, which was lower than the BAYC floor value at that time.
