Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) agreed to testify after Congressman Maxine Waters, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said: I politely tweeted several times to testify:
“I still don’t have access to much of my data — professionally or personally. So there are limits to what I can say.” , not as useful as it seems.But the committee still thinks it is useful and I am ready to testify on the 13th,” Bankman-Fried tweeted to Rep. Waters on Friday. [

Another congressional hearing will be held on his Wednesday, December 14 Scheduled. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), chairman of the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, sent Bankman a letter. Freed asked him to testify last week. At the time of writing, the former FTX CEO has not agreed to testify before a Senate committee.
FTX filed for bankruptcy on his November 11th, and Bankman-Fried stepped down as his CEO. The company is currently under investigation on various charges, including improper handling of customer funds. FTX’s new CEO, John Ray, said in bankruptcy court:
