Gamestop NFT Marketplace Is Now Live on Immutable X, Market Features Web3 Games

Gamestop, the US consumer electronics and gaming retailer that announced its NFT marketplace seven months ago, has officially launched its NFT market on Immutable X In addition to NFTs, Gamestop’s marketplace also offers Web3 games such as “Gods Unchained” and the DC Comics NFT Trading Card Game “Hro.”

Gamestop Unveils NFT Marketplace with Immutable X

Gamestop‘s NFT Marketplace nft.gamestop.com is now live, offering an ethereum layer 2 (L2 ) scaling solution connected to ImmutableX. Unlike NFT marketplaces such as Opensea, Looksrare, and Rarible, the Gamestop NFT market “provides users with 100% gas-free and carbon-neutral minting and trading,” the website states.

Along with the gas-free experience, the newly launched Gamestop NFT Marketplace states that users can buy, sell, and create NFTs “fast.”

Robbie Ferguson, president and co-founder of Immutable X, said, “Today’s launch of the Gamestop NFT Marketplace provides players with a best-in-class experience while also providing millions more NFTs, top Web3 games,” he explained during the announcement.

This news follows Gamestop’s partnership with the exchange FTX US, which aims to allow Gamestop customers to use the FTX community and marketplace to acquire crypto assets. Gamestop will be offering select retailers carry FTX-branded gift cards and details that “Gamestop will be FTX’s preferred retail partner in the United States.”

The launch of Gamestop’s NFT Marketplace and partnership with FTX follows the company’s announcement at the end of May of a Gamestop-branded wallet. when navigating the nft.gamestop.com market, the Connect tab displays three wallet options: the Gamestop Wallet, Walletconnect, and Metamask.

Web3 Games includes the trading card game Gods Unchained, the chess game Immortal Game, the mobile RPG Guild of Guardians, the MMORPG Ember Swords, the 8/16-bit game Bitverse,” and the official DC Comics NFT trading card game “Hro.
