SAI Tech Reveals 2 New Liquid Cooling Bitcoin Mining Containers Built for Overclocking Flexibility

On September 28, bitcoin mining operators and clean technology company SAI Tech announced the called Tankbox and Rackbox. The two new models join the company’s SAIHUB Box, which employs plate cooling and immersion cooling technologies.

SAI Tech announced the Tankbox and Rackbox bitcoin mining infrastructure products.

As cryptocurrency mining continues to improve application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) efficiency and mining infrastructure technology,SAI Tech (Nasdaq: SAI) announced the launch of two mining infrastructure modules utilizing liquid cooling that utilize liquid cooling.

The first is Tankbox, which can accommodate approximately 72-144 ASIC mining rigs and produce hash rates of 12-20 peta hashes per second (PH/s.) Tankbox will be available to the public by the end of 2022, and the module will feature a “heat recovery system and can provide hot water outflow at ~50°C.”

Sai.tech offers a heat recovery system that recycles 90% of mining waste, according to the sai.tech website.

SAI Tech has also introduced the Rackbox, a module that can accommodate 90 Microbt Whatsminer ASIC mining rigs with liquid cooling technology. according to SAI Tech, the Rackbox can be used with Microbt Whatsminer series M33S+, M33S++, and M53 models, according to SAI Tech.

The Rackbox allows miners to overclock and underclock their ASIC mining machines, achieving an estimated 24-26 PH/s per container. Without overclocking, the Rackbox can deliver approximately 18-20 PH/s, according to SAI Tech’s two product briefs.

“Rackbox enables miners to achieve higher profits throughout the bitcoin cycle by reducing the risk of power off in bear markets and earning excess returns in bull markets.” SAI Tech’s announcement on Wednesday explained the details.” The Rackbox can also recover waste heat and provide hot water at ~60°C. The Rackbox is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2023.”

Arthur Lee, founder and CEO of SAI Tech, explained that the containers will further provide a waste heat recovery system.” The tank and rack boxes are compatible with all air- and liquid-cooled mining equipment on the market, thanks to our unique waste heat recovery capabilities.” Lee said in a statement at the time of the announcement.

Lee added:

[The launch of these two new products further demonstrates our deep and industry-leading expertise in liquid cooling and waste heat recovery, bringing exciting news to the bitcoin mining industry and effectively enabling a sustainable future for bitcoin mining infrastructure This will enable us to.

SAI Tech’s new product is prefabricated and looks like a 20ft storage container with components built in. It includes cabinets for mining equipment, power controls, and water circulation systems. The company said the Tankbox and Rackbox modules are ideal for “harnessing idle energy such as flare gas.” After Wednesday’s announcement, SAI Tech’s stock price jumped1.14% higher against the U.S. dollar in the past 24 hours.

SAI Tech is not the only mining operator to offer mining container equipment; in late June,Bitdeerannounced the launch of its Antbox or Deerbox plug-and-play mobile mining farm module Bitdeer’s product was originally a Bitmain product, but following Bitmain’s restructuring, the design was assigned to Bitdeer. one Bitdeer Deerbox module can host up to 180 Bitmain Antminer S19 mining rig units can be hosted.
