Roblox is an online gaming platform that is gaining popularity, especially among Generation Z. As of June 30, Roblox had 52.2 million daily active users, 11.3 billion engagement hours, 12 million creators, and 32 million experiences, according to its website.

Other major companies and celebrities are also using Roblox for their metaverse businesses: in July, electronics giant Samsung launched the “Samsung Space Tycoon” on Roblox. Last December, reality TV star Paris Hilton created an island called “Paris World” on Roblox and played an electronic music set on her virtual island on New Year’s Eve.

Analysts at the Bank of England said in August that crypto assets could have an important role within the metaverse. Earlier this year, Goldman Sachs said the metaverse could be an $8 trillion opportunity. McKinsey&expects the metaverse to generate $5 trillion by 2030. Citi, on the other hand, predicts that the Metaverse economy could grow to between $8 trillion and $13 trillion by 2030.
