Italian Serie ‘A’ Soccer Team AC Milan to Launch NFT Initiative

AC Milan, a popular soccer team and current champion of the Italian Serie A league, has announced the launch of a new non-fundable token (NFT)-based project. The organization announced that it has established a partnership with Monkeyleague, a Solana-based Web3 soccer game, to become the official NFT partner and bring new NFT-branded game assets to the game.

Sports teams around the world are increasingly implementing more and more Web3 elements to connect with fans in different markets. AC Milan, the current champions of the Italian Serie A league, recently announced their participation in the new NFT project. In a press release, the company said the move makes Monkeyleague the team’s official NFT partner and that the company will work closely with the team to design a new collection of brand new AC Milan NFT game assets, including new players, skins and stadiums.

Casper Stylsvig, the organization’s chief revenue officer, emphasized the importance of AC Milan’s digital presence for fans. He said,:
