Press Release Zug, Switzerland, September 4, 2022– In order to facilitate the growth of the Everscale network ecosystem, attract new developers and further expand the international community, the Everscale Foundation has been officially registered as a non-profit organization. The Foundation’s mission is to break down barriers between Everscale and the outside world.
In late 2021, the Everscale community supported a DAO initiative to create a representation of the network in the real world. By the end of August of this year, all necessary registration procedures had been completed and the non-profit Everscale Foundation was officially launched in Zug, Switzerland, the gold standard for international non-profit organizations. Based on the initial vision, the main areas in which the Everscale Foundation will begin its activities are.
Representative Activities
The Everscale Foundation will strengthen the network’s public relations efforts and provide a single entry point for journalists, developers, influencers and government agencies. The Foundation will form specialized working groups to develop the necessary interfaces. These may include PR, GR, and marketing initiatives.
Grant Program
The Foundation will be the primary destination for qualified projects seeking to develop and create products and businesses on Everscale. Projects that bring the most value to the network will receive support from the Foundation. These could range from core infrastructure developers (nodes, system utilities, etc.) to projects in the DeFi, NFT, GameFi, Metaverse, and IoT areas, or other areas to be determined by a vote of Foundation members depending on current market conditions.
Intellectual Property Management
The Foundation would be the repository for important intangible assets of the network, such as trademarks, domains, and patents, and would protect such rights in court if necessary.
Legal & Compliance Support
In order to better understand Everscale and facilitate the listing of ecosystem tokens on exchanges, trackers, and analytic resources, the Foundation will provide legal opinions, a Compliance Policies, etc., and will take the lead in creating and maintaining current versions of relevant legal documents, including but not limited to.
Promotion and Dissemination
The Everscale Foundation will act as a promoter of the Network and its ecosystem. This may include participating in various industry events, publishing content, forming public opinions on various industry topics, and participating in industry working groups to represent the ecosystem and industry interests.
The Everscale Foundation is appointed to carry out a wide range of important tasks, but will not become a centralized governance system for the Everscale network. everscale is decentralized by its very nature, so many passionate and supportive individuals and organizations have formed alliances and unions to drive the growth of the network, and the Foundation is just one of them. The Everscale Foundation does not control Everscale in any way. It simply performs the duties delegated to it by public consensus within the framework of the funds allocated to it; the only real control possible in the Everscale network is the public consensus obtained by voting with EVER, Everscale’s native token. The Foundation’s decisions are not legally binding on members of the Everscale community, but the Foundation may operate on its behalf and sign any agreements within its authority.
