Cryptopunks is the #6 collection in NFT sales this week with$4,517,133but sales are 52.38% from the previous week decrease. Despite the low sales for the week, Cryptopunks managed to temporarily upset BAYC in terms of floor value.

NFT’s floor value is quite different than it was 26 days agoJuly 26, 2022. At the time, BAYC was 82 ether, the cheapest BAYC that day, making it the top floor value; Cryptopunks NFTs had a floor value of 73.95that day, so it was #2. ETH on July 26. In fact, statistics from archive.org show that BAYC has maintained the top floor value week after week for several months.
Today’s brainstorm follows Yuga Labs’ release last week of intellectual property licenses for Cryptopunks and Meebits. The new license allows the owners of Cryptopunks and Meebits to use the NFT for commercial or personal purposes. The company’s BAYC NFT also has a license for NFT owners, but Galaxy Digital’s investigationclaims that the license covering the BAYC, MAYC, and BAKC NFTscontains significant inconsistencies.
Cryptopunks temporarily reversed the BAYC floor value on August 21, but the reverse occurred on December 22, 2021. At that time, the lowest BAYC was 53.9, ETH, while Cryptopunk’s lowest was 52.69, ETH. However, after BAYC flipped Cryptopunks late last year, they maintained their advantage in terms of being the top-tier value. Except a few times, the NFT collection PROOF Collective has temporarily flipped BAYC.
Early Sunday afternoon, after a brief flipping, BAYC managed to regain its top position, and by 4 pm EST, BAYC’s floor was at 68.48 ETH. Meanwhile, Cryptopunks’ floor was 66.45at ETH.
