The new portal is designed to facilitate interaction between the regulator and “companies involved in the innovative financial technology sector.”

The Moroccan Capital Markets Authority (AMMC), the country’s capital markets regulator, recently announced the launch of a new fintech portal on its website. The purpose of this new portal is to “support the projects of market players and promote the development of new technologies that can help transform the financial sector.”
A statementsaidthat AMMC’s creation of the FinTech Portal is a sign of the regulator’s willingness to embrace innovation within the financial services industry.
“For the Moroccan Capital Markets Authority, supporting the attractiveness of capital markets also means embracing innovation in the financial industry. The Agency has placed innovation support at the heart of its 2021-2023 strategic plan and intends to work closely with project leaders to promote the development of new technologies in Morocco’s capital markets,” the statement said.
