Press Release St. Barth, August 9, 2022 – . KQuasars has launched a new astrophysical NFT collection. Kay Quattrocchi, who studied with renowned physicists, met with the CERN team, and paid close attention to LIGO’s research, has collaborated with his son Harrison Baudgel, who inspired and collaborated with him, and Dutch generative artist Sander Stuling, to create a black hole and created a device that generates quasars. Their code algorithmically created 777 unique NFTs, 555 black holes, and 222 quasars to explore their fascinating presence.

Kay Quattrocchiis an internationally acclaimed post-war mixed media artist, painter, and sculptor. She has a very long history of creating collections that investigate astrophysical topics of direct relevance to humans. Her work is inspired by the formal rigor of fine art painting, inspired by the latest scientific discoveries that reveal some of the secrets of the universe, but also by the “enormous thrill the mind feels as it strives to be there and to understand itself and its own existence.” A natural clairvoyant who perceives the invisible world, but a firm believer in science, she has devoted decades to studying the impossibly large and the infinitely small.
As the rest of the world catches up and turns its attention to the metaverse, she is using this new technology to draw on her long-standing obsession with the universe and is making headway in the field of NFT. Her KQuasars are a numerical art derived from the mind and human consciousness, as evidenced by the connections between color, shape, movement, and shadow and light that create an emotional connection.
unique skills and knowledge
The realization of this project required a paper by a CERN astrophysicist, LIGO’s theories about black holes (also known as fuzzballs), and a creative coder. Proof of the authenticity, uniqueness, and provenance of the digital artwork is a specific number (token) recorded on the Ethereum blockchain. The owner receives a high-resolution image that can be viewed on a digital display or traded on the platform for NFTs and cryptocurrency wallets.

A black hole is an object of such tremendous mass and density that not even light can escape its gravity. Quasars were thought to be mysterious, solitary, star-like phenomena before Hubble.
Each black hole or quasar in the KQuasars collection is programmatically and individually created from more than 15 elements, including backgrounds, nebulae, stars, and forms. No two are alike, but some are more unusual than others.
