Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2me has announced that a deal it was trying to complete with 2gether, another Spanish exchange, has failed due to internal disagreements. The company had hoped to absorb 2gether customers who blocked the operation, forcing users to pay 20 euros to continue using the platform after declaring earlier this month that it could not offer free services.
Bit2me cancels 2gether customer absorption deal
Spanish cryptocurrency exchange 2gether is still facing difficulties after blocking customers’ access to its platform earlier this month. Another cryptocurrency exchange, Bit2me, had proposed a deal to absorb these customers and move their funds to its platform. However, according to a blogpostpublished by the company, the deal was never completed due to internal disagreements.

Bit2Me has decided to offer a solution so that 2gether users can continue trading their cryptocurrencies on Bit2Me. All of this is out of good faith between the parties and without financial compensation of any kind.
2gether earlier this month blocked users from accessing funds on its platform as a result of the downturn in the cryptocurrency market, calling it “unable to sustain its free service” and offered customers, to continue using its platform for cryptocurrency trading Told that they would have to make a one-time payment of 20 euros (about $20), Bit2me began talks with exchanges to absorb their customers, with the goal of offering services to keep these customers in the crypto ecosystem.

Bit2Me’s objective with this agreement was to protect the Spanish crypto ecosystem in order to allow 2gether clients to continue trading cryptocurrencies without selling their positions.

However, Bit2me has not given up and is presenting an offer to its clients to refund a one-time payment of €20 if they voluntarily transfer funds from 2gether to its platform. However, for this to apply, the value of the transferred cryptocurrency must be at least 200 euros.
The predicament facing 2gether has affected more than 100,000 customers, some of whom are already planning to take legal action against the exchange. Hinting at such action is the case of Asufin, a local user group. Itdeclares:
