Tony graduated from Nankai University with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and attended graduate school at Oxford University, where he received an M.A. in Financial Economics. After graduation, Tony worked as a management consultant in Oliver Wyman’s Hong Kong office, working primarily with financial services and Fintech clients in the APAC region. He then joined Sequoia Capital China in the venture capital practice, consulting mainly to global fintech and enterprise services companies, including Toss, Opay, CPIC, Sumscope, and many other leading fintech companies. He has participated in projects.
In 2021, Tony joined 3G Capital to lead APAC TMT Growth investment activities, particularly in China. environment became more stringent, he moved to become an advisor to 3G Capital. He then joined Foresight Ventures as a General Partner, where he was responsible for emerging web3/crypto deals and led the funding of Bitget Exchange and Bitkeep Wallet. Interested in crypto infrastructure, scaling solutions, and applications that connect CeFi and DeFi, he feels he can provide the most value to portfolio companies by participating in the exchange/wallet ecosystem.
