Comprehensive and important for remote work
Another finding of this report relates to the target market that metaverse apps are aimed at. Although the technology associated with metaverse apps is based on virtual reality hardware, respondents believe that the industry is not exclusively geared toward younger audiences; 75% said that metaverse apps cater to all generations.
The report also communicates the importance of metaverse technology to the future of remote work. Survey respondents are very optimistic about the involvement of the metaverse in remote work, with 69% believing that the metaverse will play an important role in this application. Remote work became a trend during the Covid-19 pandemic, and several companies are now considering leaving it as part of their scheduling strategy.
One of the co-founders of Globant recently said that he thinks companies should take new technologies such as cryptography, metaverse, and NFT more seriously.
